Sneak Peek This Friday

This Friday, “Cover Love” is the topic of choice at the YA Indie Carnival. For the Main Attraction, I’ll UNVEIL THE COVER for Midnight Child, Book 3 in the Midnight Guardian Series which releases in February! Check back here on Friday.

My First Review

I received my very first book review today. Once I finished screaming and jumping up and down, I read it.

It was posted on Amazon by a user named Matilda. It was great. She (I assume Matilda is a she) gave it five stars! She also likened my work to Buffy the Vampire Slayer which is absolutely awesome. Joss Whedon is a genius. If you don’t agree, I urge you to listen to his commentary on the TV series DVDs.

My first reviewer did offer some constructive criticism which I’ll keep in mind for the rest of the series. Matilda, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU!! You are my Star Struck Moment #2.

Star Struck

So to make up for my lengthy last post, I’ll keep this one short.

My official first proof of the print edition of “Of Sun & Moon” arrived today. There were just some minor items to be corrected. Like a typo in the name of a beloved Star Wars character – so glad I caught that one before it went to print.

The book also became available at Smashwords.com today. I don’t recommend the Javascript version, but all other versions look great.

Every post or so, I want to share with you a Star Struck Moment. As a first-time novelist, I’ve had many moments that stop me in my tracks and make me say, “Whoa, this is real.”  And so I leave you with…

Star Struck Moment #1: When I realized that my book appears next to Patricia Briggs in my Kindle archive!
