I’m just starting to read my way through it and already I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Thirteenth Princess by Mary Fan, a futuristic retelling of The Twelve Dancing Princesses, one of my personal favorite fairy tales.

My story in the anthology, Let the Numbers Show Truth, is all about Stella Purser, the youngest intern at First Intergalactic Bank and Trust. It’s Stella’s first day at the bank, nestled below the waters of Lake Erie just beyond the ruins of Cleveland. The Amook, the universe’s chief supervisor of banks and an alien with the uncanny ability to draw out your deepest secrets, is visiting. Everyone is excited for his arrival.

As the Amook steps from his transport in the bank’s wet lobby, everyone cheers.

Then everyone screams as an explosion propels the bank into chaos.

Here are some handy buy links for the anthology.

EXTRA TIP: And if you like epic stories of strong girls, I’d also recommend Mary Fan’s newest release Stronger than a Bronze Dragon. Epic almost seems like an understatement. Gorgeous mythical storytelling with a contemporary feel.
